The Pool of Enchantment

de Young Museum, SF 2000

Collaboration with Harrell Fletcher

Curated by Glen Helfand

We were invited to create a project that dealt with the De Young museum and its collection. The museum was about to be demolished and replaced with a new structure. We decided to focus our attentions on the man-made turtle pond in the front of the museum. The pond was not to be part of the new museum's grounds.  The installation was comprised of three large-scale video projections of footage shot underwater. It presents a Jacques Cousteau-like adventure of a world soon to be obsolete.
