Thinking About Flying

Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, 2011

The CCS was been provided with a pigeon loft and a group of young pigeons to be cared for by the museum and trained by its visitors. By taking home and releasing a pigeon to fly back to the CCS loft museum visitors expanded the navigational and social circumference of work. The original pigeon loft, donated by area pigeon breeder Joe Cussack, was custom-modified to loosely resemble the modernist design of the CCS Bard Hessel Museum.
